INTRODUCTION

These Terms and Conditions ("T&C") govern your access to and use of our website, including any content, functionality, and services (including the event services) offered on or through our website. By accessing or using our website and by registering or attending the events detailed on our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these T&Cs, you are not authorised to use our website.

Our website is designed to provide information about our services and allow users to engage with our community. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue our website, or any part of it, without notice, at any time. We may also change these T&Cs at any time, so we encourage you to review them periodically.

THE ORGANISER

Vieroots Health Awareness Services Est., having its offices in Bay Square, Bldg. 04, Level 02, Unit 229, P.O. BOX 23304, Business Bay, Dubai, UAE (hereinafter referred to as “we/our/us/organiser”) is the organiser of the event - World Biohack Summit Dubai 2023 - and owns and operates the connected website - www.worldbiohacksummit.com.

THE EVENT

The World Biohack Summit (event”) is an annual event that brings together scientists, health professionals, and entrepreneurs in the field of biohacking to share knowledge, insights, and innovations. The summit usually features keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and exhibitions on various topics related to biohacking, including nutrition, genetics, exercise, and cognitive enhancement. The event is designed to inspire and educate participants to use cutting-edge technologies and strategies to optimise their health and well-being.

This event is a professional event and admission is only for those over 16 years old and above. Entrance to the event shall only be granted to the attendee(s) having valid Tickets purchased from www.worldbiohacksummit.com

DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

The data that is collected from you while visiting the website or while registering or attending the website will be used by the organiser of the event i.e., Vieroots Health Awareness Services Est., including its subsidiary(ies), and/or affiliates, along with its Data Processor(s) (if any), with the purpose to (a) plan and manage the event duly for which you registered and (b) intimate you about the relevant details and updates pertaining to the event on alternate intervals via emails, calls and/or SMS.

When you allow your event badge / ID card to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor at our event you are consenting to your personal data being provided to that exhibitor/sponsor.

They may use this data for things such as marketing their goods or services, analytics and statistics. Some of these exhibitors and sponsors may also be located outside of UAE, therefore in consenting to give them your personal data, you are consenting to the transfer of your data outside of UAE in some cases.

CONSENT STATEMENT

You hereby consent to give the organiser the right to process the personal information that you provided while registering, and while availing of the services listed on the organiser’s platform/website. You further acknowledge that you are well aware of your digital and privacy rights and in no case has the organiser compelled you to give consent in relation to the procession of your personal information.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND

The attendee can avail of our cancellation and refund policy, only up to 48 hours from the date and time of purchase of the tickets. The attendee(s) opting for cancellation and refund within the said timeline shall be eligible for a 100% refund. Tickets cancelled after the above-mentioned time frame shall be considered non-refundable, and the attendee shall solely be liable for such loss. Further, no claims shall be entertained by the organiser with respect to refunds and/or cancellations which are not within the timeline/frame provided above.

The attendee(s) may at any time, but before the start date of the event, will be eligible to substitute a delegate on behalf of the attendee’s Ticket. No additional fees will be applied to the attendee in this regard.

Note: It is to be noted that Ticket(s) are exchangeable to any future events free of charge. However, if there is any price difference, the attendee shall be required to pay the differential amount before the exchange of the Ticket.

FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

There will be filming, photography and recording at all times throughout the event at the World Biohack Summit Event Venue (“Venue”). You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of payment, disclaimer of liability and release of any and all recording, filming and photography before attending the venue (or surrounding Areas & Premises).

When you enter the venue, you enter an area where photography, audio and video recording will occur. By entering the venue, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition or reproduction to be used for news, webcasts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media or for any other purpose by the organisers, its management team, its affiliates and representatives or any other allies as and when required by the organisers.

Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of the organisers and the event as such. You release the organiser, including any of its employees and each and all persons involved in the management, operation, and performance of the event from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitising, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or sound recordings.

You hereby waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, social media, advertising, webcasting, televising or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video or audio recording taken by World Biohack Summit Organisers, its marketing/production partner or the person or entity designated on behalf of World Biohack Summit Event Organisers.

World Biohack Summit Event Management advises that you may be recorded on either commercial broadcast or CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) upon entry and throughout the event venue and surrounding forecourt for safety and security purposes.

TICKET SALES

Registration fees are administration costs which are non-refundable. Upon making your booking with us to attend one of our events you must agree to and adhere to our T&Cs. Sending us a completed booking form constitutes a legally binding contract. It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the event organiser to change the contents and timings of the programme, the speakers, the date or the venue. Payment is due upon booking your place. There is no admittance to the event unless payment has been received in full.

In the unlikely event of the programme being cancelled, the event organiser will make a full refund but disclaim any further liability. The event organiser will not offer refunds to delegates due to an incident or a situation involving force majeure unless the conference is cancelled. In this instance, the event organiser will retain up to 50% of the conference fee to cover marketing, administration and delegate registration costs.

Reservations will only be accepted upon receipt of the duly completed booking form and will be on a strictly `first come - first served’ basis.

Each booking needs to be accompanied by the individual's email address which will be verified. All attendees must bring a photo ID and carry it with them at all times while at the venue otherwise admission to the event will be denied.

We do not allow retrospective bookings or discounts - once a registration has been completed, that is the final price deemed payable to the event organiser.

YOUR OBLIGATIONS

By using our website, you agree to the following obligations:

1. Compliance with Laws: You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with your use of our website.

2. Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and for restricting access to your computer or device to prevent unauthorised access to your account. 3. Accurate Information: You will provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account or using our website, and you will update this information as necessary to ensure its accuracy.

This includes but is not limited to, posting or transmitting any defamatory content, harassing, or obscene, or that contains viruses or other harmful code.

7. Cooperation with Investigations: You will cooperate fully with us in any investigation or legal proceeding related to your use of our website, including but not limited to, providing information, documents, and testimony as necessary.

8. Termination of Access: We reserve the right to terminate your access to our website at any time and for any reason, without notice or liability to you.

By participating in the World Biohack Summit event in Dubai, you agree to the following obligations:

1. Compliance with Laws: You will comply with all applicable local laws and regulations in connection with your participation in the event in Dubai, UAE.

2. Respectful Conduct: You will conduct yourself professionally and respectfully at all times, and will not engage in any activity that is illegal, harmful, or offensive to others.

3. Event Access: You will comply with all access requirements, security procedures, and other rules and regulations established by the event organisers.

4. Personal Safety: You are responsible for your safety and well-being while participating in the event, and will take all necessary precautions to prevent injury or harm to yourself or others.

5. Compliance with Policies: You will comply with all event policies, including those related to health and safety, security, and conduct.

6. Compliance with COVID-19 Protocols: You will comply with all COVID-19 protocols and guidelines established by the event organisers, including but not limited to, mask-wearing, social distancing, and vaccination requirements.

7. Intellectual Property: You will respect the intellectual property rights of others and will not use any content or materials presented at the event in a manner that infringes on those rights.

8. No Recording: You will not record or photograph any part of the event without the prior written consent of the event organisers.

9. Cooperation with Investigations: You will cooperate fully with event organisers in any investigation or legal proceeding related to your participation in the event, including but not limited to, providing information, documents, and testimony as necessary.

10. Termination of Participation: The event organisers reserve the right to terminate your participation in the event at any time and for any reason, without notice or liability to you.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content and materials on our website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio and video clips, software, and other intellectual property, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. By using our website, you agree not to reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any of the content or materials on our website without our prior written consent or the consent of the respective intellectual property owner.

You may use the content and materials on our website solely for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you do not remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTIONN

These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions or your use of our website or participation in the World Biohack Summit event in Dubai will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the applicable courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms and Conditions, together with any additional terms and conditions that may apply to specific products, services, or events offered on our website, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of our website and participation in the World Biohack Summit event in Dubai.
